INFOS
NBNN
No Borders No Nations is a self-organised festival from the Reitschule Bern milieu, taking place every summer on and around the Schützenmatte.
Admission is free - open to everyone, without a commercial focus. Instead, the festival is based on solidarity, voluntary work, and collective organisation.
Music, art, workshops, and discussions come together and create a space for exchange, encounters, and new perspectives. No Borders No Nations is not only a festival, but also a place to negotiate social questions together and think about alternative forms of living together.
BETWEEN REALITY & UTOPIA
The earth has once again made its round around the sun, and this summer No Borders No Nations returns.
From 21 to 23 August 2026 the festival will once again take place before and in the Reitschule Bern. This year again in a big format: with stages, concerts, workshops, discussions, and plenty of room for encounters.
In content, we make our name our programme. Under this year’s focus, we are asking what a world without borders and nation states could mean and what separates us from it today.
What role do borders play in our everyday lives? Who benefits from them, and who is excluded? What privileges are tied to them, and how do they shape our freedom of movement, our safety, and our perspectives? And above all: what alternatives can be imagined and maybe even lived?
No Borders No Nations sees itself not as a finished answer, but as an open process. On stages, in workshops, and in conversations, we want to develop perspectives together, share experiences, and make utopias tangible. Between music and discussion, a space emerges where political learning and cultural expression come together.
This year too, the festival remains non-commercial and organised in solidarity. To make it happen, we depend on the purchase of Solibändeli. Every contribution helps us create a freely accessible space for culture, exchange, and lived solidarity.
No Borders No Nations 2026 is a summer gathering, a political space, and a shared attempt to think beyond borders.
AWARENESS
It is important to us that all people can feel comfortable and safe at No Borders No Nations. We all share this responsibility together – please take it seriously. Be aware of your own limits and respect those of others. Consume only as much as allows you to remain aware of and respect these limits. Take breaks in between, drink a glass of water. Be mindful of how much space you take up – in conversations, during concerts, on the dance floor, and in your behaviour towards others. Always act on the basis of consent: Only yes means yes.
We do not tolerate any form of discrimination. This includes, among others, racism, sexism, queerphobia, ableism, antisemitism, and Islamophobia. Please also avoid making assumptions about gender identity, sexual orientation, or cultural background.
If you observe something that bothers you, or feel uncomfortable yourself, you can contact the awareness team at any time. You will find us throughout the festival grounds. If you need a break or want to withdraw, a safer space is available – please approach us. We will do our best to act in the interest of and for the protection of the person affected.
